Quays (Upper Holloway Rail, London)
The first section of the pub is long and thin, with the giant screen to the right of the bar as you walk in. This makes the view a bit awkward, so most people stand near the bar, or resort to the 2 TVs which are well positioned, up high. Round the back is a smaller area that has a well positioned TV and more seating. There is a second bar upstairs that is not always open. Wood floor, friendly staff and known for the live entertainment. It says over 23s on the door.

White Hart (Whitechapel, London)
There are 2 good screens positioned high in the corners so as to be visible. Friendly service and a very 'lived in' pub decor. Attracts an interesting mixture of East End characters.

Wig & Gown (Highbury & Islington, London)
Well into sports coverage, even to the extent of showing golf. The main screen is one of those enormous TVs rather than a projected picture and is angled the far end of the bar. Since this is a long, thin place with a bar along one wall, most people watch the TVs rather than the main screen. 4 of these are decent wide-screens and are sunk high into the wall in front of the bar, with seating directly opposite. You can see a screen from anywhere, thanks to the extra TV as you walk through the door. There is a [more...]

York (Angel, London)
L shaped pub wrapped around an L shaped bar. The main screen is visible from over half the pub but you would do better to be one of those closer to it. Very much into footie and a mostly suited crowd. Nice touch with the flags pinned to the ceiling. For some reason, they can only get Sky One.

100 (Clapham Common, London)
Interesting outside paint job. This is a pretty smart, wood floored L-shaped place with a central bar. The big screen is well positioned at the back of the pub in front of the small dance area. The 2 TVs are high in the corners furthest away from the main screen so that you can see the game from anywhere. Football fixtures are advertised throughout the week, including Nationwide.

Arch 635 (Clapham North, London)
A smart little place in an old railway arch, with trains rumbling overhead. There is a fantastic giant screen at the far end of the tunnel that takes up most of the far wall. The darkness makes the picture quality all the better. It's a long thin place with a bar along 1 wall, which takes up half the room so you watch from the bar, unless you get in early enough to be in the area directly in front of the screen. There's a pool table there but people have the sense not to play during a match. Has [more...]

Bodean's BBQ (Fulham Broadway, London)
Excellent American ribs all round in this US friendly place. Like most of the Bodean's locations there are lots of US based sports programmes shown going into the early mornings.

Camden Tup (Camden Town, London)
The Tup is Camden's hidden secret. Tucked away in Greenland Place they thrive on word of mouth trade. They show most sports but focus on rugby. Set on two floors, there is an octagonal hole between the floors that allows the sports crowd atmosphere to spread through the pub. The raised wooden floor, leather sofas, long wooden tables and pews give the Tup a good atmosphere. The main screen is right next to the pub's open frontage and they therefore use blackout curtains for important games on sunny days. Foodwise, they have a good menu but the burgers are the [more...]

Corrib's Rest (Queens Park, London)
This is a very popular Irish themed pub that is so well known it appears to be mentioned on the A-Z. The place is split into two main rooms, each with a large screen for sporting events and is designed so maximum view. The decor is traditional irish that oozes the run-down but very homely feel or the emerald country.
